Study the Bible with Us: The Book of Luke

God uses the Bible to bring us to life! Through this ancient book, the Holy Spirit reveals the living God, teaches us the truth, and invites us into the Kingdom of God. This fall, join us as we dive into one of the biographies of Jesus, the Book of Luke. Although Dr. Luke interviewed the witnesses and gathered the data in order to write “an orderly account” of Jesus’ life, the Book of Luke is far from dry and academic. It is a beautiful story full of joy: singing, laughter and great joy. Other themes include how salvation has come for absolutely everyone, the work of the Holy Spirit, and an emphasis on the poor and women. Please read the first two chapters of Luke before the first class. Also, although not required, please consider purchasing N.T. Wright’s book Luke for Everyone as a helpful resource.
