Thursday Racial Reconciliation Book Group

Thursdays at 6:30pm, beginning October 7 – As followers of Jesus, we often don’t know how to press into racial reconciliation. One practical step we can all take is to listen to & learn from the perspectives of others. This small group will study and discuss the book: Reading While Black – African American Biblical Interpretation as an Exercise in Hope. The author, professor, and Anglican priest, Esau McCaulley grew up in the South and knows the struggle between despair and hope that marks the lives of some in the African American context. A key element in the fight for hope, he discovered, has long been the practice of Bible reading and interpretation that comes out of traditional Black churches. This ecclesial tradition has something vital to speak to all of us today.Email Leader Register Here
