Casey LaCore spent 10 years working at UMD as the Director of the Office of Civic Engagement. It was a great job that she really loved, but God had other plans. Changing jobs at 50 years of age wasn’t easy for her, but when she looks around at what she gets to do, she’s glad to do her part in making disciples.
She is passionate about social justice issues, educating people about God’s heart for the poor, how Jesus impacts our communities, what God had in mind when he created community, and helping people engage in relationship with others and Jesus.
Casey enjoys watching her lovely grandchildren, watching Folye’s War and gardening with her husband. She’s also an avid X-country skier and kayaker, taking an annual canoe/kayak trip to the BWCA with her girl friends.
