Molly Ovenden grew up in the Twin Cities, but spent lots of her childhood up the North Shore in Silver Bay in her family’s vacation home. She graduated from UMD in 2009; during her time as a student she met a cute boy from England (her now husband), who was interning at a place she volunteered. After dating long distance for a couple of years, Molly moved to Leeds, the English county of Yorkshire, to marry Max.
They have always wanted to live in either Leeds or Duluth. A couple of years into marriage, Max and Molly began to feel God turning their attention to Duluth. They moved to Duluth in September 2017 after living in England for 7 years, in pursuit of Jesus and finding out what God is calling them toward.
Coming on staff at Duluth Vineyard in September 2017 as the Business and Facilities Manager, Molly oversees the repair and maintenance, cleaning, and events set up of the building and grounds; the personnel and HR; and, the governance of the finances and business aspects of Duluth Vineyard.
Her heart is to encourage and empower people to do what God has called them to do and she does this by doing what God has called her to do, which is to be creative, write, and paint. In addition to the excitement of having snowy winters, Molly loves to rest and hear from Jesus by Lake Superior, drink tea, laugh, smile, run and do yoga for exercise, read, eat and cook and bake, and knit, crochet, and quilt.
