Worshiping God Is Vitally Important Right Now
During this difficult time, we need to stay connected to God and to one another. God is our refuge and our strength. Please join us for either our on-line or in-person worship services as we come together with others and experience the Holy Spirit and his life changing love for us.
For Sunday, August 16 at 10am
This coming Sunday, we are planning to host an outdoor worship service at our Arrowhead location, and if you’re comfortable doing so, we’d love for you to join us! But listen, if you’re not comfortable returning to the building just yet, please don’t worry at all. We will continue from now on, to offer all of the online services and resources you’ve found so helpful.
There are important benefits from gathering in-person to worship together, and we must acknowledge that during this pandemic gathering in-person remains a high risk activity. Larger gatherings for extended periods are still dangerous and you could catch COVID-19 at one of our in-person worship services.
Although we can’t tell you it is 100% safe to come to an in-person worship service, (as you’ll read below) we are taking important steps to minimize the risk to you and to the Twin Ports Community. We are trying hard to follow medical and governmental guidance. And, even more importantly, we really want to love others (like Jesus would) through the precautions we take when we gather in person to worship.
We’ll have a worship team playing from the patio outside the coffee bar area, and we will set up groups of chairs on the grass that are 6 feet apart. If you’re more comfortable with a bit more distance from others, please do bring your own chairs and blankets to sit as far apart as you’d like in the part of our parking lot closest to the front of our building. We will not provide any of our children’s ministries for the time being. Instead, we will have a much shorter, family-oriented service which will be 30–40 minutes long. We’re working to make this as family-friendly as possible. Watch this message from our Vineyard Kids pastors and Michael Gatlin.
Also, we are limiting the number of attendees and volunteers at each service to 250 people, as per our governor’s order. To accomplish this, each family will need to register for the number of people they will be bringing. We are following all of the protocols recommended by the state and the medical experts in our community.
Please read our official document outlining our measures for this weekend.
Our prayer is that we stay safe while also experiencing all that God has for us during this season of so much uncertainty.
If you’re interested in attending, please take a moment to reserve your spot.
