“In 2007, we stumbled upon the Vineyard in Duluth and since then, our lives have never been the same. This community has loved us and taught us what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. We found our home in the Vineyard and we are so grateful for the opportunities that have been given to us since then.
The leaders at the Vineyard called out gifts in us that we didn’t know existed. They encouraged us to explore what God created us for and it was here that we found our true calling. Throughout this time, we were continually invited into new opportunities—from serving to leading teams to being on staff at the church. Not all of these roles were easy, but our Vineyard family was there to celebrate our successes and love us during our failures.
Shortly after attending the Duluth Vineyard for the first time, both my husband and I heard God speak to us about starting a Vineyard in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where I grew up. At that time, we had no idea what this would look like or what that even meant. But now, 8 years later, we’ve found ourselves doing just that—building a community of hope in Sioux Falls. God has given us vision for building an authentic community of disciples—just like we stumbled upon in Duluth as college students. And now, we are seeing our neighborhood transformed by Jesus through simple acts of love.”
