In this weekend’s message, Brian explores ways that experiencing God’s love helps us embrace our true identity. As we become more secure in our identity as children of God, it frees us to take bold practical steps to become more like Jesus.
Remembering the benefits of God’s love can be a key factor in being loved by him. Yet, to experience those benefits (to live, to feel the greatness of God’s love), takes more than just an intellectual exercise. Remembering the benefits of God’s love needs to go deep, they become central in our lives and govern our behavior. Also as a reminder, God loves you.
How do we know God loves us? What evidence do we have? John shares on how God shows us his love throught the things he gave us and what he did on the cross.
If someone asked you, why should we give money to the church, what would you say? John helps us look at a bunch of “Reasons to Give” and what the Bible has to say about them.
Jesus says “do not worry” multiple times in Matthew 6. So why do we worry, especially when it comes to money? John encourages us to experience the freedom that comes with surrendering all our worries, including our money worries, to God.
Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Brian starts our new series on generosity by helping us learn what the Bible has to say about money and its role in our lives.
In this next year, could we become more focused on others, valuing them, and loving our neighbor as ourselves? Asa closes out our Advent series by sharing what we need to take off to begin to walk in humility.
Christmas is all about peace! Jesus brings peace through His humility and yet He divides the world. What’s that all about? John shares more about how Jesus is the Humble King of peace.
We live in a society that says humility is a good idea, but often doesn’t really practice it. Clint helps us look at Jesus as the Humble King and what it means for us to embrace the humble life.
