When things our lives are going well, it’s easy to see the goodness of God. But what about when things aren’t going well? Is God still good? Casey shares some personal stories where she has asked very question when life isn’t going the way she wanted it to go. But in the end she explains how God is still good, even when we question His goodness.
When we talk about Jesus, how can we be both True to Jesus and Culturally Relevant at the same time? In this talk, we see that we just need to keep pointing people to Jesus. And, in pointing them to Jesus, we can tell people that they’ll love Jesus (he’s amazing), (yet in some ways) they’ll hate Jesus, and (like it or not) they need Jesus.
What does it cost to follow Jesus? Nothing…and…everything. John shares about what this tension means and how we can meet Jesus in the middle of it.
As followers of Jesus, we want to become more and more like him. So, who’s job is it to make us like Jesus? Is it God’s job or is it our job?
When we start following Jesus, there is some combination of “Show and Tell” involved. It’s actually a mandatory activity for us. Hear John share on waht this means and how we can start to participate.
